Having now returned to wargaming in 2012 after a 25 year break I can say I am thoroughly enjoying it.
There appears to be a much wider range of figures and accessories available, for all periods and theatres, than I was used to…
I have to admit, the medieval period has always been one of my favourites, both from a historical perspective and a modelling one...
I currently dabble in Dux Britanniarum (Jutes), SAGA (Norse, and tempted by Steppe Tribes!), Lion Rampant (Scots Islesmen & Free Company), Hollow Crown (Scots, Harlaw 1411), Beneath the Lily Banners (Jacobite / Williamite wars in Scotland and Ireland & Russian Army of the Great Northern War), WW2 British Airborne using the newly released Chain of Command rules from Too Fat Lardies, and now current Afghan conflict using the 'Skirmish Sangin' rules, again with the Para's…
I'm also working with some others to adapt the Donnybrook skirmish rules for the medieval period!
